Mary J. Blige - Strength of a Woman

Mary J. Blige's latest project 'Strength Of A Woman' has to be one of the most HONEST albums of the year. How is it possible to learn even more about The Queen? She has given us her life for the past 20 years, yet you feel like you've developed a deeper closeness with her. Sonically and lyrically this project covers all bases. Though considered an R&B album, it feels sooooo Hip Hop. I guess that's why we fell in love with Mary J. Blige in the first place. This project bares Mary's truths and frustrations she dealt with in her past relationship, yet it feels like something quite a few people have gone through in their life. Outside of lyrically content, the production is incredible. You can tell many of the industry's heavy hitters approved of this project and wanted to sprinkle their fingerprints on it. You ever listen to an album and been like "Whoa, the concert is going to be amazing"? Well that's the exact feeling you are going to get. At a point you're going to feel a little guilty for enjoying listening to someone's pain so much. If you love music, this an album you have to embrace, replay, and talk about. Go buy it now!
